Macaos Enterprise for Purchasers is designed for purchasers. It is a companion application to Macaos Enterprise for Engineers, intended for use in companies where the there is a separation of roles between those who design products and those who purchase them.
ME for Purchasers gives a straightforward view of purchasing activities (quotes, orders, shipments, etc) so they can quickly view product details, get prices and track their order progress. Engineers can add products to be purchased to the company-wide Shopping list, to make them easily available to purchaser.
Overview
ME for purchasers displays information in an upper region and a lower region, each with a few action buttons at the left edge.
Upper region
The upper region displays one of three views:
- Activity overview: A quick overview of recent activity and other products of interest.
- Product details: Specifications and history of the currently selected product.
- Search for product: Search by any product or order identifier.
The two remaining buttons in the upper region either reload the product list (from the database server), or open a menu of additional operations.
Lower region
Selecting an activity list header loads the lower region with additional information about the products in that list. Otherwise, the lower region displays one of five views for the currently selected product:
- Quotation module: Used to get online prices or submit a request for quotation for the product.
- Shopping cart: A list of products to be ordered. Submit your order from this view.
- Graphical view: Displays the product graphically. Most product types are shown in the product viewer, although some are shown in a 3D viewer, or as a photograph or drawing.
- Layer buildup viewer [PCB and PCBA products only]: Displays the PCB layer buildup.
- Component list [PCBA products only]: Displays the PCBA component list.
