View mode

Macaos Enterprise for Engineers has several view modes, to help users focus on their activities. Select a view mode to hide products and operations which lie outside the scope of your focus area.

View modes are about "reducing the noise" without limiting your work.

• Products which are not in scope for the current view mode are normally hidden in the product browser. Use the View mode button at the top of the folders list to show/hide out-of-scope products. The All products folder always lists all products, regardless of the view mode; but the folder count reflects only in-scope products.
• Buttons for out-of-scope operations are not shown. However, all operations are listed in the Operations menu.

Purchaser

If you are a purchaser, then we recommend our separate Macaos Enterprise for Purchasers application. ME for Purchasers gives quick and easy access to quotations, purchases and order history for your active products; in an intuitive user interface, without any of the engineer-focused modules.

PCB Engineer

Only PCB, PCBA, Stencil, and uncategorized Off-the-shelf products are shown in the product browser. Only the Import PCB, Panelize PCB, Create Stencil, and Assembly Data Manager operations are shown in the button bar.

Assembly Engineer

In this view mode, Test fixture, Mechanical part, and Test accessory products are hidden in the product browser. The Import PCB, Test fixture, and Mechanical part operations are not shown in the button bar.

Mechanical Engineer

Only Mechanical parts, Machines and other Off-the-shelf products are shown in the product browser. Only the Mechanical part operation is shown in the button bar.

Test Engineer

The product browser shows Single-board, Panelized, PCBA, Test fixture, and several types of Off-the-shelf products. Only the Test fixture operation is shown in the button bar.

Everything

Nothing is hidden in this view mode.
