This milepost is automatically signed when the work order is created. Normally, a purchase order will also be created at the same time. The purchase order will automatically be added to the supplier’s list of work orders to confirm, until an order confirmation has been uploaded.
If the supplier does not use Macaos Convergence, then the seller must send the purchase order and production data to the supplier by e-mail (or some other suitable means).
Send
This milepost must be signed when the product data has been prepared for the supplier. The supplier will not be able to download production data before this milepost has been signed.
Clicking on the Sign button causes the product data to be checked for completeness. Some warnings may be displayed, and the user may choose to accept these conditions. If not accepted, or if any error issues arise, the milepost will not be signed. These issues must be corrected before signing the milepost.
Once the milepost has been signed, the supplier may download the production data from within their Receive milepost dialog box. If the supplier does not use Macaos Convergence, then the seller must send the production data to the supplier together with the purchase order.
